This 6-day journey is a deep dive into Uganda’s wildest frontier. You’ll begin in Kampala/Entebbe and be transferred to Kitgum via Gulu, a vibrant town that’s the heartbeat of northern Uganda. Then it’s off to the remote savannas of Kidepo Valley National Park—home to Africa’s most untouched wilderness.
Lions on rocky outcrops, ostriches racing across dry plains, and buffalo herds that stretch across the horizon. After two nights in Kidepo, you’ll journey south to Murchison Falls National Park to explore the savannas and the mighty Nile—where the river explodes through ancient rock and feeds a vibrant web of life. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Journey North – Into Kitgum
You begin early, the city noise slowly melting into countryside bustles. The road north is long, and because of that, you drive heading North but stop over winding past sugarcane fields, roadside fruit stalls, and dusty villages echoing with laughter.
By late afternoon, you reach Gulu and later proceed to have spend your night in Kitgum. This is not a tourist town—it’s a real, beating heart. Here, the stories of resilience meet northern charm. You’ll check in to your guesthouse and enjoy an authentic Ugandan dinner under the stars before starting your early morning transfer to Kidepo.

Day 2: Wild Lands – Entering Kidepo
You leave early for Kidepo, and the road grows quieter with every mile. The land flattens. The sky widens. Then suddenly—it opens into Kidepo Valley: wild, golden, and vast.
You arrive at your lodge just in time for a soft morning game drive as you start the impressive wilderness experience in Kidepo. Some possible sightings are; buffaloes, lions, leopard, giraffes, zebras, Ostriches dart like dancers across the plains. This is not a zoo. This is nature, untouched. Proceed to your lodge after the encounter.

Day 3: Full Day in Kidepo – Game Drive & Cultural Visit
Today, you go deep into Narus Valley—Kidepo’s wildlife heart. Lions sun themselves on rock kopjes. Elephants ghost through acacia groves. And cheetahs (yes, cheetahs) patrol the horizon, eyes sharp and still.
You might meet a giraffe chewing thoughtfully or hear the bark of baboons at play. This valley is quiet—but never empty.
In the afternoon, visit a local Karamojong village. Spears, songs, and stories unfold, connecting you with one of Uganda’s oldest cultures.

Day 4: From Wilderness to Waterfalls – Drive to Murchison Falls
After breakfast, begin your southbound journey through Kitgum, moving from the dry plains of Karamoja into the green fringes of Murchison’s savanna.
By late afternoon, you arrive at the edge of Murchison Falls National Park and proceed straight for a top of the falls hike where you get to experience the powerful Murchison falls forcing itself through a 7metre gorge. Retire and proceed to your accommodation for dinner, relaxation with a taste of cultural encounter.

Day 5: Game Drive & Boat Safari on the Nile
Sunrise spills over the savanna as you set out in search of lions, giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeest, and warthogs dancing through the grass.
Later, the boat safari reveals Murchison’s true soul: the Nile. You’ll cruise slowly toward the base of the falls, past grunting hippos, crocodiles sunning on sandbanks, and elephants drinking in the reeds.
You cut the engine. The roar grows louder. The sky rains mist. This is Murchison Falls—from the bottom. Raw. Roaring. Alive.

Day 6: Top of the Falls – Return to Entebbe
This morning, you depart the park and leave for Ziwa rhino experience. Upon arrival, your guide shall clear and rush straight to complete your Big 5 encounter. Then, with a full heart and a full camera roll, you begin your drive back to Entebbe, where the safari ends—but the wildness doesn’t leave you.
