Day 1: Kigali to Bwindi – Through Hills That Breathe

Your guide picks you up early in Kigali, Rwanda’s capital—Africa’s cleanest city with color and unbeatable rhythm. Within an hour, after starting the drive to Uganda, the road begins to rise and curl. You cross the border into Uganda, and everything softens.

The hills get higher. The air cooler. Villages perch on the slopes like scattered stones, and children wave as you pass. It’s not just a drive—it’s a slow unwinding of the world you left behind.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking – Return to Kigali

Wake early when the air is still cool and proceed to the gorilla trekking headquarters. The sky bruised with morning light. You eat quickly, lace your boots, and head to the ranger station for your trek briefing.

Then, you enter the forest. No signs. No fences. Just shadows, birdsong, and the sound of your own breath. You follow trackers in a hike that may be short or long—nature decides.
